Papua Police Killed in Shooting Incident

VIVAnews - A shooting incident between the mobile brigade of the Indonesia Police with an unknown group of people occurred during the officers patrol at Tingginambut district, Puncak Jaya regency on Wednesday noon, April 15.

The incident was directly responded by the Indonesia Police headquarters by holding a press conference in the police headquarters in Jakarta.

In the press conference, the chief of Indonesia Police Gen. Bambang Hendarso explained that a member of the mobile brigade Brigadier Musa got shot in the incident. He was in a critical condition when evacuated to a hospital in Jayapura, but passed away during the evacuation process.

Other than Brigadier Musa Aninam, there were six other officers from the mobile brigade who also got shot, namely Brigadier Pomarul Huda, Brigadier Khairudin Hamid, Brigadier Adam Hanock, Brigadier Roland Pati Gajah, Brigadier Basri Bhineka, and Brigadier Musran.

Meanwhile, there were three people suspected as a part of a separatist group who got shot, namely Dominggus Kogoya, MartinusJikua, and another one with still unknown identity. All three had been secured in Mulia Jayapura hospital.
