Berlian Asks More Time from SGX

VIVAnews - PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk. (TBLA) requested that Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd. (SGX) postpones the collection of the 2008 audited financial report. The company must have delivered their financial report 60 days after year end closing at the latest.

"The consolidated financial report of Berlian Laju Tanker and its subsidiaries for the fiscal year ended on 31 December 2008 cannot yet be submitted to the Singapore Exchange in time," said Director of Berlian Laju Tanker, Michael D. Gunawan, on Wednesday, March 4.

Gunawan said that up until today, public accountants Osman Bing Satrio and partners, an affiliation of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu International, is still in the auditing process. It caused delay in the colletion of the financial report.

"We will deliver the financial report to Bapepam (Capital Market Supervisory Agency) as soon as the report [has been audited]," he said.

He explained that the company has asked for more time to the Singapore Exchange on Feb. 19. The SGX extended the deadline to March 20 2009.
