Telkom-TM Berhad Develop Data Business

VIVAnews - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) and Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is collaborating in developing their business. The partnership includes data and international voice services, international cable system and data center of both countries, of which agreement was signed on Wednesday, March 25.

President Director of Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Rinaldi Firmansyah, said the cooperation will strengthen the companies' position in international businesses.

"The MoU will be a milestone to develop a mutual partnership as well as improve the value of TM Group or Telkom Group," said Firmansyah today, March 25, in a press release.

He went on to say that the collaboration may widen Telkom's link to international community through Malaysia. "Telkom will not only expand its international network, but also maximize the use of the company's infrastructure nationwide," he said. 

Both parties will also develop worldwide cable infrastructure through the utilization of the available capacity.
 
Firmansyah claimed that the Diversity Network for DMCS (Dumai Melaka Cable System) partnership will trigger both parties' infrastructure development through MARA (Mutual Aid Restoration Agreement) scheme, new infrastructure development, capacity expansion through international connection.
