VIVAnews - Elections Monitoring Board (Bawaslu) released the result of the monitored political parties' campaign between March 16 and March 25. The report showed that the number of violations recorded amounting to 197 cases.
"159 violation reports were categorized as crime and the other 16 were administrative ones," said Deputy Coordinator of Bawaslu Working Group of Campaigning and Recess Period, Wirdyaningsih, on Thursday, March 26.
She said children involving in the campaign have been the most affected victims. "[Open] campaigns can be dangerous for children," she said.
She said that Bawaslu will conduct a research to proceed with the violations. Of the listed violations, four parties committing most violations include Democratic Party, Golkar Party, Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party.
