Malls Must Market Domestic Products

VIVAnews - The Industry Minister Fahmi IDris asked malls and shopping centers to display and sell domestic products. Big shops and malls are urged to prepare space for domestic products.

"I'll request for each floor's percentage [of domestic goods]," said Idris after a coordination meeting at the coordinating ministry for the economy in Jakarta on Thursday, April 16.

Idris said that the process to deliver domestic products into malls and big shopping centers is regulated in a business to business agreement (B to B). "First there will be a negotiation, then there are steps," he said.

The Minister explained that there are some good industrial developments despite there are some slowing developments. The food and beverage industry continues on growing. A similar situation can also be seen in the electronics industry. While, textile and textile product industry's growth is quite alarming.
