Breaking Coalition Confuses Entrepreneurs
VIVAnews - Chairperson of the Indonesia Employer Association (Apindo) Sofjan Wanandi said on Monday, April 23, that the entrepreneurs are confused by the Functional Group (Golkar) Party's decision to break the coalition with the Democratic Party. It is worried that the decision would result in political uncertainty which could eventually disturb the economy.
He also said that entrepreneurs are hoping that the Democratic Party would have maintained the coalition with Golkar. "But what has happened recently confuses us. Entrepreneurs are afraid."
He explained that the confusion was derived from Golkar's final decision to run Jusuf Kalla as the presidential candidate. Golkar will not collaborate with the Democratic Party. "I'm convinced 90 percent that Golkar and the Democratic have parted."
