VIVAnews - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said tax reform in Indonesia is still far from perfect. She assumes there are still many aspects in the tax service that must be improved.
The Minister also said a major improvement has to be applied in the IT division. “Please run a good IT to gain perfection”, she said at the inauguration of echelon II officers at the Department of Finance office in Jakarta on Monday, April 28.
The IT division is expected to improve its performance because it involves public service. According to her, as a basis of tax service, the IT division must have sound performance.
“Nowadays, Taxpayer Registration Number (NPWP) equals to ID cards. Therefore, Do not let people down”, the Finance Minister said.
Tax filling procedures are expected to be easy. Good taxation will lead to the increase of country’s income. The Finance Minister hopes the tax reform could be a key to the nation’s development.
