VIVAnews - The Capital Markets and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) continues its investigation on PT Antaboga Deltasekuritas. Hendro Wiyono, Antaboga’s President Director, was questioned for 11 hours, Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Hendro was at Bapepam-LK’s Verification and Investigation Bureau’s office from 9.00am to 8.00pm
However, Bapepam-LK was not able to get much information regarding the investment product that has troubled hundreds of Antaboga customers. “He didn’t know that much. From the information that we obtained, the person of authority there (at Antaboga) is someone from outside the management,” said Bapepam-LK’s Director of Verification and Investigation Bureau, Sarjito, when contacted by VIVAnews, Friday, Dec. 5.
But Sarjito refused to say the name of the person he was referring to. “I don’t want to mention names,” he said.
Bapepam-LK officials went to Antaboga’s office on Tuesday, 2 December, to investigate the issue of investment products that has caused agitation among its customers. These customers are those who invest in mutual fund products issued by Antaboga. They were troubled because they have been unable to cash their funds, even though it has been due in since end of last month. Most of them were offered the mutual funds by employees of Bank Century.
Before Century was taken over by the government, Antaboga owned 7.44 percent of Century shares. Antaboga’s shares are largely owned by Robert Tantular and Hartawan Aluwi. Robert is also a controlling shareholder of Bank Century.
