VIVAnews - US President elect Barack Obama said he promised to pay a visit to Indonesia. Obama will drop by when he attends the APEC Summit in Singapore.
"Coming to Indonesia is his desire," said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Tuesday, Nov 25.
Obama's inclination of visiting Indonesia was conveyed through a phone call when President Yudhoyono contacted him. Yudhoyono specially contacted Obama to come by Indonesia.
Yudhoyono also said that Obama spoke Indonesian a bit during the talk. "He still uttered some Indonesian words well, like 'apa kabar' (how are you)," he said.
President Yudhoyono also delivered messages from Obama's friends when the US President was still in an elementary school in Jakarta. The Indonesian President left a photo album from Obama's friends at the Indonesian Embassy in the United States as well.
