VIVAnews - State officials will proclaim a declaration that they will not commit corruption. The declaration is scheduled to be officially pronounced on World Anticorruption Day, commemorated every 9 December.
"We are inviting the President, Attorney General's Office (AGO), Chief of Indonesian Police and governors from every province in Indonesia to declare not to commit corruption," said spokesperson of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Johan Budi SP, at the KPK office, Thursday, Nov 27.
The declaration will take place at the KPK office, Jakarta, on December 9th.
During a series of events commemorating anticorruption day, the Commission also plans to hold a national press conference on corruption eradication. The anticorruption commission will also request that all departments provide reports about the measures they have taken to help eradicate corruption. The Commission will also call on the Supreme Court, the Attorney General's Office and the General Elections Supervisory Body to report the progress of corruption eradication in the country.
Johan said that "in the future, all ministers will be asked to give reports on corruption eradication progress in their departments."
