VIVAnews - Elections Commission decided that the the first round of Presidential Elections would take place on 8 July 2009. Should there be a second round, it would be held on 8 September 2009.
"The decision is taken after the available time is set," said Abdul Aziz, member of Elections Commission on Thursday, Jan 22.
According to Aziz, the phases include registration, verification, campaigns as well as data up-dating.
"Logistics supply for the first round Elections can be carried out prior to nominating Presidential Elections," said Aziz. Yet, pre-qualifying tender and the track record of ballots' producer for Legislative Elections must be taken into consideration.
