10 Departments Receive Fiscal Stimulus

VIVAnews - As many as 10 Ministries will receive fiscal stimulus to stimulate domestic economy.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, said the administrative procedure for the 10 ministries is ready to be carried out on March 11. The fund disbursement will be ready on March 18.

The total additional stimulus funds will amount to Rp 12.2 trillion (US$1.01 billion).

Here are the details of the stimulus budget for each department:

1. Department of Public Works will receive Rp 6.6 trillion (US$549.8 million). The fund will be aimed at, among any others, the disaster management of Bengawan Solo River flooding, network expansion of  drinking water distribution and installation, irrigation construction of fish pond, roads and housing infrastructure projects.

2. Department of Transportation receives Rp 2.2 trillion (US$183.2 million) for the development of railway network, airport repairs, new airport, rehabilitation of harbors, sea port, and land transportation.

3. Department of Energy and Mineral Resources will be provided with Rp 500 billion (US$41.6 million) will be used for network transmission, electrical substation, and establishment of energy self-help village on .

4. The State Ministry of Public Housing receives Rp 400 billion (US$33.3 million) that will be used for developing 40 subsidized apartment towers for Indonesian Military, Indonesian Police, workers, and college students.

5. Department of Maritime and Fisheries receives Rp 100 billion (US$8.3 million) for fishermen's housing, border area, and remote island's infrastructure.

6. Department of Agriculture receives Rp 650 billion (US$54.1 million) for the development of road infrastructure, industry and tertiary irrigation.

7. Ministry of Cooperatives, Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises receives Rp 100 billion (US$8.3 million) for markets, small- and medium-sized enterprises and hawkers management.

8. Department of Trade receives Rp 335 billion (US$27.9 million) for traditional market development and primary commodity warehouse rehabilitation and revitalisation.

9. Department of Manpower receives Rp 350 billion (US$29.1 million) which  is aimed at laid-off workers' training and labor training.

10. Department of Health receives Rp 150 billion (US$12.4 million) for the development and expansion of advanced hospital (RSCM) as well as subsidize generic medicines and clean water.

In addition, there is also additional capital for Askrindo and Jamkrindo for people's business credit (KUR) expansion valuing to Rp 500 billion (US$41.6 million).
