Bond Issuance

Bank Ekspor Indonesia to Issue Bonds

VIVAnews - The Department of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) revealed that Bank Ekspor Indonesia is planning to issue bonds worth Rp 2 trillion (US$168.07 million) this year.

"They said they want to issue bonds I valuing to Rp 2 trillion," said Parikesit Suprapto, Department of SOEs Deputy on Banking and Financial Services, on Thursday, March 12.

According to Parikesit, the management is still evaluating the bond issuance plan. Therefore, the precise date of the issuance is not yet assured. "It is planned that the bonds I will be issued gradually," he said.

Despite the thin capital market, Suprapto was optimistic that the market will absorb the bonds. The reason is that in addition to receiving AAA rate, the status of the company as a state-owned enterprise will be a guarantee. "It provides additional value to the bonds," he said.
