VIVAnews - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) expects this weekend the Finance Department and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) will announce the review result of Budget Working Plan for infrastructure project that was suggested by eleven ministries and agencies as the implementation of 2009 fiscal stimulus.
"The announcement of the review is very important to revive the business world's initiative and social economy activity," said the chairperson of the Domestic Trade Fix Committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bambang Soesatyo to VIVAnews trough an SMS to VIVAnews on Monday, March 16.
He said that the 2009 fiscal stimulus package valuing Rp 12.2 trillion (US$ 1.01 billion) is allocated for several infrastructure projects which are strongly needed. The budget will be absorbed by eleven ministries and agencies.
The ministries, agencies, and regional government have to propose a budget working plan to disburse the fund. "Along this March, every ministry and regional government will compile the budget working plan," he said.
If the process goes well, the budget working plan will be delivered to the Finance Department and Bappenas on March 18 by the ministries, provincial government, regional government. The plan will be later revised by the Finance Department and Bappenas.
Based on the schedule from the state government, the approved plan will be disburse in April 2009. From that, the number of projects from the infrastructure stimulus in 2009 will be discovered. "We also will have projection on the percentage of infrastructure stimulus budget absorption in a early phase," he added.
The Finance Department along with Bappenas should announce the number of projects which will be made to stimulate social economy, and that includes project's type and location announcement. He thought that the announcement is very important since it will stimulate the business activity in regions.
