VIVAnews - PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. (HMSP) recorded an increase in 2008 net profit by 7.4 percent valuing Rp 3.89 trillion (US$330 million) compared to the same period in 2007 with Rp 3.62 trillion.
The increase was triggered by the rise in net sales from Rp 29.78 trillion to Rp 34.68 trillion. Yet, the cost of goods sold has also increased from Rp 21.02 trillion on the previous period to Rp 24.69 trillion.
Based on the company's financial report which was publicised on Friday, March 27, the company's operational profit also grew from Rp 5.58 trillion to Rp 6.22 trillion.
Meanwhile, the company's interest income in 2008 is recorded at Rp 37.42 billion, lower than 2007 with Rp 57.72 billion.
On that period, the company's liabilities is recorded at around Rp 8.06 trillion with assets reaching Rp 16.1 trillion and equity of Rp 8.04 trillion.
