VIVAnews - Excelcomindo (XL) has today enhanced its value-added services (VAS) by collaborating with Yahoo. The measure is taken by XL to ease and answer customers' needs for accessing the Internet through cell phones.
XL cooperates with a giant in search engine service Yahoo to provide XL Yahoo Zone. This service offers some Yahoo features to be embedded to customers cell phones including Yahoo XL, Yahoo Mail, XL Yahoo Messenger and XL Yahoo Wanted. In addition to providing services, XL also teams up with Yahoo in holding the 2009 Yahoo Mobile Developer Award.
In addition to cooperating with Yahoo, XL also adds more VAS that it develops including XL SMS Plus and XL Xcite Fun. XL SMS Plus enables auto forward,auto copy, auto blacklist and auto reply. Meanwhile, XL Xcite Fun functions to give more color by applying different interface.
In addition, there is Location-based Services such as XL Fun, XL Travel, XL Directory, XL Photo Sharing. The advantage of the three first services is to identify the location of a person or a place.
XL also stated that it is ready to set up the services as far as network is concerned. Up until today, XL keeps building network infrastructure. XL claims that it has reached 90 percent of Indonesian population.
