VIVAnews - The Democratic Party is preparing for the coming presidential Elections, which will be held on April 9, 2009. To get a vice presidential candidate, the Democratic Party is forming a special team.
"The Democratic Party is now establishing Team Nine to set up a coalition as well as choosing a vice presidential candidate," said a leader of Democratic Party Central Board, Ruhut Sitompul, on Wednesday, April 15.
The team consists of Hadi Utomo, Marzuki Alie, Syarif Hasan, Yahya Secawirya, Andi Mallarangeng, Anas Urbaningrum, Ruhut Sitompul, Jero Wacik and Hayono Isman.
"Soon when we have a name, we will give it to the user (Yudhoyono). If he says okay, then we will propose [to the candidate]," said Sitompul. The team will later set up a coalition with other parties.
According to Sitompul, the team will make further consideration on vice presidential candidates.
