New Owner of Bahana Must Repay Debt

VIVAnews - Bank Indonesia as former share owner of PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (BPUI) calls on the company's new owner to settle all debts of the investment fund account.

BPUI owes to Rp 1.2 trillion to 20 years. The debt has increased compared to the previous Rp 250 billion recorded in 1997.

Bank Indonesia hopes the debt settlement will be smooth.

The central bank and State Minister of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) as well as the government are preparing the share transfer plan of the BPUI shares, concerning especially with legal issue.

However, the exact time of the share release discussion at the House of Representatives is not yet made.
