Golkar has lobbied the Democratic Party to receive Jusuf Kalla as vice presidential candidate. However, the Democratic Party insisted on requesting for more than one name. It caused Golkar to name its own presidential candidate.
"Now we allow the chairman [of Golkar] to try new coalition with other parties," said Harahap during a press conference on Wednesday, April 22.
