VIVAnews - The Capital Market and Financial Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) is weighing the chance to implement margin trading regulations. The capital market authorities will probably defer the implementation of the back office system of the stock members.
Bapepam-LK will consider the gradual implementation of the margin trading regulation. "It can be postponed because the back office system [of the stock members] is not yet ready," he said.
It is figured that the capital market authority as well as the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) will put into effect the new margin trading and short selling regulation on May 1. However, the authority will set down the suggestion given by the Indonesia Securities Company Association (APEI).
