VIVAnews - PT Bank OCBC-NISP managed to add net profits during the first months of 2009 by Rp 73.2 billion (US$6.7 million). It is 35 percent increase compared to the same period of 2008 with Rp 54.3 billion.
The rise in profit is supported by, according to President Director of Bank OCBC-NISP Parwati Surjaudaja on Monday, April 27, the net profit income to 32 percent.
In three months, he said, the bank has also collected three-party fund by 32.5 percent in last March 2008 from Rp 20.1 trillion to Rp 27.5 trillion (US$2.5 billion).
However, the bank has only recorded growth concerning credit disbursement to the real sector by 3.1 percent due to the effect of the current crisis.
Prudent credit approval has provided the bank with controlled non performing loans ratio of around 2.21 percent, far for maximum limit set by the central bank at five percent.
