VIVAnews - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found that state loses around Rp 50.65 trillion from oil and gas sector. The Indonesia Corruption Watch urged that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigates the case.
According to member of the anti-corruption watchdog Firdaus Ilyas, the losses are caused by the swap in crude oil into gas at CPI and COPI of Grisik between 2004 and 2007 as well as oil and gas cost recovery.
In addition, state losses from coal industry reach Rp 2.5 trillion and US$7775.57. "There are 42 cases as to the matter," said Ilyas during a press conference in Jakarta, April 30.
The losses, he said, are due to nontransparent and unaccountable management of the sector.
