VIVAnews - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the trading balance of March 2009 recorded a surplus of US$2 billion. March export value reached US$8.54 billion, 20.64 percent higher compared to February 2009.
The increase in national exports is supported by the high exports in mining and plantation especially coal and crude palm oil exports, according to BPS Head Rusman Heriawan on Friday, May 1.
Meanwhile, there was downturn in exported industrial products. The highest drop was experienced by exported textiles and textile products.
