VIVAnews - Schering-Plough Corporation (US) asked its subsidiary, PT Schering-Plough Indonesia Tbk., to continue its business and runs its operation independently despite the merger plan of between Schering-Plough Corporation (US) and Merck&Co. Inc. (US) this year.
"It will be too early to give further comment on the effect of the merger to the company," said Corporate Secretary of Schering-Plough Indonesia, Rianto Kosasih, on Thursday, March 1.
He stated that the merger plan of between Schering-Plough Corporation (US) and Merck&Co., Inc. (US) will have only been carried out in the fourth quarter of 2009.
Up until today, IDX still suspends the shares of Schering-Plough Indonesia. The suspension has already been applied since Tuesday, March 10. Before the suspension, the Schering stock was traded at Rp 9,000 per share.
