Presidential Candidates Prefer Top Investors

VIVAnews - The presidental candidates proposed by some political parties are siding with top investors, an economic analyst from Gadjah Mada University, Revrisond Baswir said. As a result, the government pays less attention to the disadvantaged people.

"As a result, the capital will never flow to Pasar Klewer (a renowned traditional market in Solo, Central Java)," Baswir told VIVAnews today, April 23.

He said that democracy in Indonesia has today become a political industry that the capital owners make use of.

Baswir claimed the government has been on the capital market's side. "They abandon traditional markets," he said.

In accordance to the possibility that Golkar Party and the Democratic Party are breaking, Baswir said it will not likely affect the real sector because the sector can endure current political and national issues. "The capital market will surely be affected," he said.
