Wealth Report Accessible Again

VIVAnews - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reopened public access to the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN). But the public may only access it from the computers in the Clearing House, a division of the commission functioning as a data storehouse.

“Today the LKHPN can again be accessed, and there's also the launch of the clearing house,” said LKHPN director, M. Sigit, in an interview with VIVAnews, Thursday 4 December 2008.

Middle of 2008, KPK closed access to the LPKHN from public. Those who wanted to see the reports were asked to go to the State Printing.

According to Sigit, the commission will give training for those who would want to take a look at the wealth report. The mechanism, according to him, is different than it was. The data can now be searched and accessed from the computers that have been prepared in the Corruption Eradication Commission's building, at HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta.

“Now, in order to access the data, just visit the KPK,” Sigit said.

For those who are data searching, the Commission has prepared touch screen computers in the KPK building. The public are guaranteed easy access to the data they want, “The data can be searched based on name or office,” Sigit concluded.
