One of the on-going developments in the Jakarta Tower construction is the Indonesia history museum. "It's [going to be] an audio visual education and entertainment facility," said Roesdiman Soegiarso, the director of PT Prasada Japa Pamudja, Jakarta Tower's developer, when interviewed by VIVAnews.

The museum which is going to be named "Indonesia Directory" is designed, equipped with hologram technology, similar to the movie Star Wars. With this technology, the visitors will feel as though they are really entering Indonesia's past. "Pangeran Diponegoro's story will be visually told. It would be as if he was alive in front of the audience, riding on his horse," she said.

"So, after enjoying the scenery on the top floor, the visitors can be directed to this museum," said he.

This facility is packed to present Indonesia's history, cultural diversity and natural resources. This facility will become an education and nationalism initiator medium. "We will make it as a domestic and foreign tourist attraction."

The tower's construction, which had started in 1997, was postponed because of the 1998 economic crisis. The mega-project finally continued in 2004. The foundation construction has been finished. The capital's new icon is planned to be fully operational by 2012.
