VIVAnews - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) has developed a new transaction system called Jakarta Automatic Trading System Next Generation (JATS-NextG). This system is a development from the regular version of JATS that has been used by IDX.
The IDX claims that this system can handle every financial product, such as bonds, obligations, or derivatives in one platform.
In a written statement received by VIVAnews on Monday night, Feb. 23, an integrated trade information distribution and every salable product supervision in the IDX can be done using the JATS-NextG. The system capacity is one million orders and 500,000 transactions per day. While, the old version of JATS can only take 360,000 orders and 200,000 transaction per day.
The IDX plans to implement the JATS-NextG on Dec. 1, 2008. But, since the IDX thought that there should be more intense tests by the IDX, members of the Exhange, and the data feed subscribers, the IDX postpones the JATS-NextG until March 2.
In the trial, the IDX has done 14 times of mock trading since September 2008 until February 2009. There will be some adjustments like booths facility on the trade floor for every IDX' s member and single ID facility.
