VIVAnews - The task force of the Indonesian Military Police (POM TNI) Garuda Contingent XXV-A/UNIFIL (United Nation Interim force In Lebanon) East Sector Military Police comprising 75 personnel, eleven of which were from the Indonesian Military, received an award from Spain.
They included 30 personnel of the Indonesian Army POM, 20 personnel of the Indonesian Navy POM, and 14 personnel of Indonesian Air Force POM. They received an award from Spanish contingent on Thursday, March 26, at the De Servantes East Sector of UNIFIL headquarters, East Lebanon.
The award, taking the form of a Decoretion or the symbol of the Spanish contingent force, was given personally by the UNIFIL Sector East Commander Brigadier General Asastra Cuevas (also from Spain) to the four representatives of the POM TNI task force.
"We highly appreciate it. It was given for the cooperation and achievement of the Indonesian Military force during their serving at UNIFIL. We are very satisfied," said General Cuevas.
Meanwhile, Task Force Commander of Garuda Contingent Lieutenant Colonel Military Police Corps Ujang Martenis said his gratitude on behalf of the other personnel for the award. They were hoping for a future cooperation with other countries.
"Their honor and faith for the Garuda Contingent is a pride for all of us, especially for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said the task force Commander trough a press conference received by VIVAnews.
