VIVAnews - As many as 160 ballots for Bangkalan Regency, Madura, East Java, were found misplaced at voting spot 2 of Pacitan, East Java. Head of voting spot 2, Wisnu, who like many other Indonesians goes with one name, said he will shortly exchange the ballots to the Regional Elections Commission.
"We will soon substitute hundreds of ballots allegedly reaching more than 160 ballots," said Wisnu on Thursday, April 9.
According to Wisnu, the misplaced ballots were initially revealed by a voter named Putri. She said she was confused because she could not find the name of the legislator candidate that she wished to mark. In fact, it was written DPD Bangkalan Tiga on the top of the ballot.
As a result, Putri cancelled voting and directly filed a report to the officer. "After being checked, there are actually hundreds [of ballots]," she said.
For the time being, the officers suspend the voting process in order to sort out the misplaced ballots. "We will check [the ballots] in the first place. Afterwards, it will be reported to the Regional Elections Commission," said Wisnu.
Meanwhile, the number of active voters in Pacitan reaches 398, listed in voting spot 2.
