Commission Denies Cloning of Quick Count Data

VIVAnews - The Elections Commission (KPU) denied the issue about making equal data of votes with the final result of the quick count processes on purpose.

The denial was an attempt of answering various rumors saying that the data of votes that the commission has is similar to various results of the quick count processes.

Although the national ballot counting has not yet ended, the pattern of votes displayed is indeed parallel with the quick count result carried out by LSI, Cirus or LP3ES.

"We did our best with our system based on the standards of operation. There is nothing to do with the data from the quick count processes. We purely acquired the data from regional elections commissions," said Oskar Riandi, member of the KPU IT Team on Monday, April 13.

According to Riandi, his team has tried hard to work on the counting under oath. "Had there been similar data, it had not been intended at. Our party did not change any data," he said.

Meanwhile, responding over an accusation that various violations were committed during the Elections with regard to the decreased votes for several parties, Agung Harsoyo from the KPU Integration Team said the decrease occurred due to vote correction in the regions.

"It is normal if there is correction. In our system, it is known by code ERR," he said.

Commonly, he said, the regions send the data using C1 IT form which has been converted into digital version. Afterwards, KPU will verify based on reports from regional elections commission or elections participants.
