VIVAnews - Directorate General of Debt Management estimated that the targeted global sukuk issuance will reach US$600. The amount refers to the remaining underlying assets amounting to Rp 7.2 trillion (US$642 million).
Director of Sharia Financing, Dahlan Siamat, said the calculation showed that the value of the global sukuk issuance cannot exceed the underlying values. "We have yet to increase the underlying assets. If it remains Rp 7.2 trillion, it would reach around US$600 million," he said.
The scheduled global sukuk issuance, said Siamat, can be carried out at anytime. The issuance can be faster than the planned target. "It depends on market situation whether or not it is conducive," he said.
"The point is that we are expecting for the exact moment," he said. The preparation is either concerned with sales agents or administrative issues.
