VIVAnews - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has been selected to be the icon of the Jakarta Handicraft Trade Fair or INACRAFT 2009.
The handicraft exhibition displays the most varied crafts collection from all around Indonesia and will be held from April 22 until 26. The event dominantly exhibits the accessories from West Nusa Tenggara during the opening of INACRAFT 2009.
Chairperson of Indonesia Handicraft Exporter Association (ASEPHI) Rudy Lengkong said that Indonesian culture, resources, and creativity are the country's capital to develop handicraft-based economy.
The President is going to open the event on the main stage at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta, which has been decorated with West Nusa Tenggara's traditional house adorned by the region's traditional cloth. Every visitor will receive a West Nusa Tenggara small scarf as the souvenir.
1,045 entrepreneurs from 33 provinces and three countries, namely Malaysia, Brazil, and Middle East, are participating in the exhibition. However, the event organizer could not include 55 other companies due to limited space.
