VIVAnews - Report has it that chemical industry PT Barito Paficic Tbk (BRPT) will expand its business to mining sector this year.
An anonymous VIVAnews source said that the company may acquire shares belonging to PT Adaro Energy Tbk by inviting Marubeni Corp.
"It is informed that the Adaro shares that will be acquired by the company are belonged to Goldman Sachs," the source said on Thursday night, April 30, in Jakarta.
Head of Investor Relations of Barito Pacific, Agustino Sudjono, denied the news. "We will inform if there is progress," he told VIVAnews in Jakarta, Friday, May 1.
In the company's financial report issued by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Barito's cost of goods sold increases from Rp 251.92 billion to Rp 19.37 trillion.
Meanwhile, the company's business losses in 2008 was recorded Rp 1.84 trillion compared to it was in 2007 reaching Rp 41.88 billion.
