VIVAnews - People's Conscience Party (Hanura)'s presidential candidate is Wiranto. But it has not made a decision on who would be his running mate. The party is still focusing on how to win the Legislative Elections.
"There hasn't been an exclusive meeting to discuss a vice presidential candidate who will closely assist Wiranto" Deputy Secretary General of Hanura Party, Saleh Husein, told VIVAnews on Sunday, Jan 18.
Jimly Asshiddiqie, head of the Constitutional Court, was appointed Head of National Association Management Board replacing Wiranto. The appointment was viewed as a political signal prior to the 2009 Elections.
"There are several candidates including Jimly Asshiddiqie and Din Syamsuddin. It is possible that Pak Ical (Aburizal Bakrie) is also nominated," he said.
Hanura's main criteria for the vice presidential candidate assisting Wiranto: high electability.
