VIVAnews - Investment Area System which was initially planned to be launched by February is expected to be delayed until March 2009.
"Hopefully, [it will be by] next month," said President Director of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) Erry Firmansyah on Friday, Feb. 13.
The Investment Area System is a new feature prepared by IDX and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) to facilitate investors in checking the balance of securities account.
According to Firmansyah, there are problems on infrastructure that should be synchronized between self regulatory organizations and brokers. "Therefore, it is mostly concerned with the Information and Technology," he said.
He went on to say that the implementation process is easy and doable in line with the working system. With the system, investors may monitor the account of the shares bought and listed at KSEI.
Earlier, KSEI planned to test the system on Saturday, Feb. 14. The test will be carried out internally at KSEI.
"Internally, it will be examined using several account holders. Hopefully, by Saturday, said KSEI Director Trisnaldi Yulrisman.
