VIVAnews - Head of Economists at Danareksa Research Institute, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, revealed that any leader winning the Elections will deal with two major challenges regarding the economy.
"The challenges include fiscal and monetary issues," said Sadewa on Thursday, April 9.
Concerning fiscal issue, the government should improve its weaknesses in disbursing the State Budget. In fact, this will be important in boosting the economy.
With regard to the monetary issue, according to him, there is a matter of transmission concerning interest rate cut. Bank Indonesia has aggressively cut the BI Rate but banking does not proceed with the decrease in loan interest rate. In fact, the BI Rate had reached 7.5 percent.
"Therefore, election winner should complete the two principle issues," he said.
According to him, the elections winner should continue with the existing economic policies. If there are extreme changes, it will less affect investors.
