According to Frans Darwin Sinurat, a foreign exchange dealer of PT Bank Century Tbk., the uncertainty of national political map has caused the Rupiah to have a negative movement against the US dollar today. "Besides, the tumbling of some regional currencies has also triggered the movement," he said during an interview with VIVAnews in Jakarta on Monday, April 27.
Meanwhile, based on the Bloomberg's trade transaction data, rupiah reached Rp 10,805 against US dollar at 08:30 a.m. local time.
He predicted that the sales and purchase of the Rupiah from noon to afternoon will more likely drop to around Rp 10,875 against US dollar.
