Non-Tax State Revenue Sharply Decreases

VIVAnews - Non-Tax State Revenue will fall by Rp 73.1 trillion (US$6.2 billion) this year. The revenue is predicted to plunge due to reviewed Indonesian crude oil price (ICP) in the State Budget from US$80 per barrel to US$45 per barrel.

The decrease, according to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, has most hit oil and gas income and State Budget dividends most severely.

"As a result, Non-Tax State Revenue is altered to around Rp 185.9 trillion (US$15.9 billion)," said Sri Mulyani on Monday, Feb. 23.

According to Sri Mulyani, due to the adjusted ICP as well as the depreciating Rupiah from Rp 9,400 against the US dollar to Rp 11,000, oil and gas revenue is projected to reach only Rp 92 trillion (US$7.8 billion), a drop by Rp 72 trillion (US$6.1 billion) compared to the planned 2009 State Budget.

The decrease is possibly caused by the estimated decrease in oil income of Rp 60.7 trillion (US$5.1 billion) and decrease in gas income of Rp 9.4 trillion (US$805 million).
