VIVAnews - Former chairman of the Functional Group (Golkar) Party, Akbar Tandjung, stated his readiness of becoming the next Indonesian vice president assisting Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
"If Mr Yudhoyono asks me to assist him, I will be ready," said Tandjung on Tuesday, April 21.
He went on to say that if he is to be elected vice president, he will fully support Yudhoyono.
Earlier, Yudhoyono outlined five criteria of a vice presidential candidate that he wishes for. One of the criteria is that the candidate must be able to team up and make synergy with the President.
