British Ambassador: Attacks Should Cease
VIVAnews - President of Justice and Prosperous Party (PKS) Tifatul Sembiring said that the British Ambassador for Indonesia Martin Alan Hatfull had stated his support for Israel to cease its attacks on the Palestinian borders.
"In the meeting, it is agreed that the attacks should be halted," said Sembiring after welcoming Hatfull in PKS office on Thursday, Jan 8.
During the meeting, efforts to cease fire were also discussed. It is aimed at preventing more casualties from falling.
Hatfull also said that the international community has shown similar sentiments regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict. The world, he went on to say, is urging the conflicting nations to cease fire and set out peace negotiations.
Hatfull was invited to visit PKS office by Sembiring. It was a return visit after Sembiring fulfilled Hatfull's invitation to attend a conference on Islamic community in March 2008.
