VIVAnews - Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirajuda stated that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's visit will aim at improving bilateral relationship between Indonesia and the United States, especially on Asia-America affairs.
"The discussion will also touch on the issue of progress in the Asian region," said Wirajuda on Monday, Feb. 16, "concerning political, economic and other aspects."
Wirajuda explained that Clinton will also discuss international issues such as matters on Afghanistan and Iran.
According to Wirajuda, Clinton's visit will also aim at re-considering US foreign affairs policy. "I think the main concern is to see how the [Asian] region thinks about creating a better relationship with the United States," he said.
Clinton will be in Jakarta from 18 to 19 February. She will meet President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the last day of the visit.
