West Java Committed to Eradicating Corruption
VIVAnews - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan supported the central government's policy in eradicating corruption, which has been carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Therefore, the West Java government decided to prioritize corruption eradication in its development policy.
The commitment was implemented by the issuance of Governor of West Java Regulation No.34/2008 on Regional Implementation Plan of Corruption Eradication of West Java Province, which specifies the improvement of public services, management of goods and services procurement system as well as Recording and Evaluation of Wealth Report of Public Officials.
"Therefore, by preventing corruption through the improvement of public services' performance and quality, there will be good governance," said Ahmad Heryawan on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
For the time being, West Java Province has proclaimed good governance program through Island of Integrity program.
Moreover, Heryawan explained that West Java Government also supported Early Direct Act Against Corruption and officiated Honesty Cafeteria, which was carried out by the Attorney General's Office as well as signing of Integrity Pact between Governor of West Java and every Echelon II Officials at West Java government.
Heryawan hoped the working meeting may boost more breakthroughs on corruption eradication.
